Club Life at WLTC - July 2024

Another fantastic Windsor Open! Thank you to all our fantastic staff, referee's and a very special thank you to all our wonderful volunteers - you are definitely the heart and soul of the event! A big shout out to our incredibly generous sponsors - Shanly Homes , who donated (for another year), to help us cover the costs of trophies, umpires and balls. Thank you so much, we couldn't run the tournament without everyone involved!

Summer season match report :

All 5 of the Ladies doubles teams have had a great season in the Berkshire league; with all teams successfully defending their position to remain in their existing divisions. Well done to all of the players representing the club!

The 1st team remain in Division 1

The 2nd team remain in Division 2

The 3rd team remain in Division 3

The 4th team narrowly missed promotion to Division 4 by just 2 points, and so for now remain in Division 5a .

The 5th team remain in Division 6a.

The 4th and 5th teams are pushing the top teams in their division hard and we're sure will move up a division very soon.

Two captains have stepped down at the end of this season:

Gráinne step down after 8 years as 2nd team captain having kept the 2nd team in Division 2 throughout (with one foray into the 1st division that proved a step too far!) Inge Redelinghuys now steps in to run the team - welcome Inge!

Natasha steps down as 4th team captain having done a great job creating a solid squad of players from which to field the team, and developing a really positive team attitude that has led to them being on the cusp of promotion. Well done and thank you Natasha. Sian Thurner now takes over as captain - welcome Sian!
