Club Life at WLTC - November 2024

Dear Members, I am pleased to update you on the following works that have been carried out this month (nothing quite as big or exciting as the new balcony or bar refurbishment).

- The blinds in the lounge that cover the big skylight have been cleaned

- Bird spikes (which are completely humane) have been installed on court 11 in an attempt to prevent bird droppings on the court and ruining it. So far, we feel they have made a huge difference, and we are planning to install them on the remainder of the courts when the weather permits and with as little disruption as possible

- We are very close to the Christmas Party which will take place on Saturday 7th December, and hopefully in the January edition of Club Life there will be plenty of photo’s to share.

- We had all the gutters and solar panels cleaned to help us maximise efficiency for collecting the sun rays!

CAN YOU HELP?

If any members have any experience or knowledge with solar panels and solar panel batteries, we would greatly appreciate your help, advice and feedback on your own personal experiences you have had with PV power. Please get in touch with Beci - tennismanager@wltc.co.uk if you are able to share any thoughts and knowledge on solar panels and batteries.

Huge congratulations to Sabrina Blayden-Ryall, who managed to raise an astonishing £1,110 for cancer research. Sabrina managed to swim the distance of the English Channel in just 10 hours and she would like to thank everyone who supported her and helped raise funds for such a good cause.
