We’re gearing up for our annual Windsor Open Tournament which will run from Sunday 16th to Saturday 22nd July.
This is a Grade 3 tournament which attracts competitive players from across the UK and further afield. Players enter from under 8s – to adults, and we are looking forward to a quality week of tennis. Many of our own Windsor members enter and all adult matches will be played from 6.30pm in the evening.
CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS
Every year our members kindly volunteer as court supervisors during the week which involves supervising the matches and reporting any disputes to our tournament referees. It is a great way to understand more about competition tennis and to be able to watch some fantastic junior matches. You don’t need to have done this before and will be fed and watered throughout the day.
We require help for either the morning or afternoon, between Sunday 16th to Saturday 22nd July.
SUNDAY, MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY & SATURDAY
Morning slot – 09.00-13.00
Afternoon slot – 13.00-17.00

COURT SUPERVISOR GUIDE
If you’d like more information and clarity of the court supervisor duties, our tournament referee Janet Jamieson has outlined some helpful points for anyone interested. Please contact Jack: tennismanager@wltc.co.uk for a copy of the guide for court supervisors.
In addition to this, Janet will visit WLTC before the tournament week commences to meet our volunteers and talk through the court supervisor duties. So don’t worry, all duties will be explained to you, and you’ll be able to ask any questions to the referee Janet, prior to the week.
CLUB SESSIONS & COURT AVAILABILITY - 16th-22nd JULY
Unfortunately, there will be no daytime club sessions during the week and it’s unlikely the evening sessions will be able to go ahead, due to the anticipated high number of entries. We will keep you updated throughout the week and if evening club sessions can go ahead, we will announce as early as possible. Courts will become available for you to book in the afternoons/evenings so do check your MYCOURTS account for the most up to date information. Courts will be released hourly so keep checking!
