Dear Members,
We wanted to give you a quick update on our social events at the club.
At the moment, we’re struggling to find enough volunteers to help organise and run our social events. We are therefore actively looking for members who would be willing to get involved and help us keep our social calendar going.
As a result, social events will be on pause until the New Year, while we look to build a team of volunteers who can help organise future events.
That said, we still have some exciting tennis events coming up, which will be going ahead as planned:
- Mini Club Championships - Sunday 22nd November (U10's only)
- Tinsel Tennis - Friday 4th December (adults only)
- Junior Xmas Party - Friday 11th December (U18's only)
Entries for these events will open soon - the Mini Club Championships can be booked online via the link below from 11th October:
https://competitions.lta.org.uk/tournament/373c06f6-259e-40bb-9ae4-713ccc83d045
Tinsel Tennis and the Junior Xmas party will both be bookable via the bar once entries are open.
If you would be interested in helping with social events — whether that’s organising an event, helping on the day, or simply lending a hand from time to time — we’d love to hear from you. No previous experience is needed, and even a small amount of help can make a big difference.
Please get in touch with Beci - tennismanager@wltc.co.uk if you’d like to volunteer or find out more.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support of the club. We hope to see lots of you on court over the coming weeks!
