Thank You, Ben!

Dear Members,

As some of you will know, Ben is stepping down after seven years of dedicated service to Windsor Lawn Tennis Club as the overall Men's Team Captain.

On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ben for the incredible amount of time, effort, and commitment he has given over the years. His hard work has played a significant role in the continued success of our league tennis and in fostering the strong team spirit that makes Windsor Lawn such a special club.

Ben asked that the following message be shared with you all:

"Thanks to everyone who has captained each of the men's teams over the last 7 years or so - it's a commitment to organise and is needed! We are fortunate to have a full complement of 6 teams (the maximum the Berkshire League allows per club) and are also fortunate to have such a thriving base of players that getting teams out even in the depths of Winter is possible. Highlights from the first team include reaching the NPL Finals and also reaching the National League National Tier Playoff against a ludicrously strong team from Sutton. Mainly it's fantastic to see how we have younger players coming through solidly into the top teams and such a large group of players who want to compete, represent the club and build team spirit."

Those achievements reflect not only the commitment of our players and captains, but also Ben's leadership and dedication over many seasons. His enthusiasm, organisation, and encouragement have helped create an environment where players of all ages and abilities can thrive, compete, and enjoy representing the club.

As one chapter closes, another begins. We are delighted to welcome Andy McKell as our new Men's Team Captain. Andy has been a valued member of the club for many years, and we are grateful that he has agreed to take on this important role. We are confident that he will build on the strong foundations that Ben has established and continue to support our teams and players both on and off the court. Please join us in wishing Andy every success in his new position.

Ben, thank you once again for everything you have done for Windsor Lawn. Your contribution has left a lasting legacy, and we are all extremely grateful. We wish you every success for the future and look forward to seeing you around the club.
