8U County Open Days 2026 - FREE TO ATTEND

Dear Members,

Please see message below from Nigel Mann (Berkshire County Coach).

The Berkshire Tennis 8U county coaches will be holding an Open Day for young players who are keen to progress along their journey in tennis, learning to compete and be part of county training.

The session will be held at Cox Green Leisure Centre on Sunday 18th October 2026 at Cox Green Leisure Centre, Maidenhead 12:00-13:15

Key things to consider before signing players up to the free 60 min session:-

The emphasis of the sessions is tennis fun, parent education and informal assessment led by our 8U County Captain, Rob Flynn and 10U Performance Lead, Nigel Mann.

Players should be born in 2020, 2021 or 2022 already competing, (intending/starting to compete in internal/external competitions)

Players should be playing/training regularly (and looking to increase their training) and they should be passionate about tennis!

Parents - please speak to your child's coach about their suitability for these sessions.

Coaches - please get in touch with Nigel at nigel.mann@berkshiretennis.org.uk if you have any queries about players you'd like to recommend.
